Volunteers needed, TEDx San Antonio

Volunteer positions are still available for the TEDx San Antonio event on Saturday, October 13 at Trinity University. This is an opportunity to get involved with your community, especially the TEDx community, meet great people and hear brain-expanding ideas.
Volunteers are still needed in the following areas:

Wrangler: Courtyard, Parking, Green Room

Procedures for volunteers:

  1. Volunteers attend mandatory training and are given assignments
  2. Volunteers may work pre production, event day, or both
  3. Volunteers arrive prior to 8am and may be assigned earlier
  4. Volunteers may see 1-3 Speakers, but are expected to work as needed
  5.  All Volunteers participate in striking the set prior to the after-party
  6. Volunteer coordinators are used in Registration, general coordinator, and theater coordinator

About ML Carter

San Antonio activist and nonprofit veteran Laura Carter believes in enabling the community to work from the heart, not just the wallet. Carter is currently Communications Director at Providence Catholic School where she balances traditional communications with social media and technology to benefit Providence. Carter spent six years at the San Antonio Area Foundation producing events and managing and creating website content. From 2010-13, Carter wrote for the Current as Beyond Paychecks, a nonprofit blog.
