Spurs fans can get their first look at the 2012-13 home team at the AT&T Center next week.

Best part about it: Everyone gets in for FREE.

The Spurs are holding an open scrimmage sponsored by State Farm Insurance on Wednesday, October 3 at the AT&T Center. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Get there early and get comfy in your favorite seat.

Yes, even in the exclusive lower-level seats of the Charter club close to the court.

The main event is a Spurs intra-squad scrimmage that tips off at 7:30 p.m. This is the dress rehearsal of sorts for the team before they host Montepaschi Siena of the Italian League in their first home preseason game on Saturday, October 6.

The State Farm Open Scrimmage will be hosted by Spurs fan favorite and team broadcaster Sean Elliott. The show would not be complete without some entertainment from the Coyote and the Silver Dancers.

There are big deals happening in the concession stands. Fans can feast on $1 hot dogs and $1 drinks, while supplies last, and take advantage of special ticket offers available exclusively at Open Scrimmage.

What’s a Spurs free open scrimmage without some zany Coyote antics? Incomplete.
So expect the Coyote to provide plenty of fun.

A special bonus: the Spurs players’ practice jerseys will be given to lucky fans after the scrimmage.

Attending fans are also encouraged to bring a book donation to support the H-E-B Read 3 program and drop them off at the H-E-B bins located near the AT&T Center entrances.
