Henry Muñoz, new VIA Metropolitan Transit board Chairman is reporting in his Facebook page how Mayor Castro is riding the Streecars and the Light Rail in Seattle.

San Antonio is considering similar solutions to public transportation for the Alamo City.

Just last week on Wed. Sept. 16, Muñoz announced the creation of a 20-member commission to evaluate the feasibility of a streetcar system in San Antonio.

The very next day, Mayor Julian Castro said San Antonio was one of the last U.S. major cities without such public services.

“It's time for San Antonio to make a significant investment in mass transit,” he said. “The details of that need public input and planning, but there's a resolve not just to plan but to act.”

Here is Henry Muñoz post in Facebook just minutes ago, and how San Antonio is already talking about it...
