Securing Spots in Brackenridge Park for Easter Weekend

Every year during the Easter weekend, there is a San Antonio tradition to camp out in Brackenridge Park.  The City of San Antonio suspends curfew at certain parks over the Easter weekend to allow for campers to set up tents.

On Friday before the weekend begins, you can already see the spaces getting reserved with tape, tents being pitched, pinatas hanging from the trees, barbeque pits being cleaned off, and unbelievably there were a few satellite dishes “planted” near the tents.

Here are a few photos I took while bicycling through Brackenridge Park.
