Today I decided to ride my bike to explore the beautiful Park across San Antonio College. On my way there I discovered a little hole in the wall directly across from the McFarlin Tennis Courts.
This little gem of a restaurant is named “Pho Sure” a play on words… of for sure, Pho is the name of their Vietnamese soup, which I tried, and let me tell you. I immediately took to the restaurant, for they let me bring in my bike and led me to the charming outside patio which I had all to myself.
I ordered Bubble Mango Tea, a delicious drink which”Thinh” one of the family owners tells me, is made with tapioca balls. I ordered Mango, but you can have your choice of flavors including Strawberry, Mango, Peach, Green Tea and Kiwi among many more.
“Pho Sure” is a family owned restaurant. I cannot believe all the times I have driven down that street, I have never even turned my head to look. Thinh and his sister Ann, who is the cook, have owned the restaurant for 6 years.
So, I was enjoying my Bubble Tea drink when I thought I would ask Thinh if their noodle soup would be good for my cough. Thinh assured me that the broth with all the spices will be a sure cure; “it will open up all your sinuses” he said. The soup was incredible, and I can’t wait to return to try their grilled salmon amongst their other dishes that really sound delicious. By the way, my persistent cough has subsided, so it is” Pho Sure” that the soup works…
