Film features Rosie Perez in a role as an elementary school teacher. She plays Viola Davis character’s best friend in the film. The film also features Liza Colón-Zayas, a Latina born in New York.
The male lead in the film is Oscar Isaac who is half Cuban/half Guatemalan. He plays an elementary school teacher as well.
